Additional Information:

Originated in Santa Paula, California, by J. Nicholas Thille. Introduced in 1954 from an open-pollinated seedling of Hass planted in 1946. Good appearance but tends to russet late in season in inland areas. Oil content high; flavor good; season July - November. Tree tall, upright, vigorous with good yields. Not propagated commercially. This variety is a parent of the Gwen variety.
